UWOC is hosting this community safety event on Ella Baker’s birthday, honoring her belief that “Give light and people will find the way.”
As we revive the Citizens Coalition for Justice Reform, this program focuses on building real skills to keep Black and Brown communities safe.

The event includes:

• A Black-led safety outlook on Huntsville

• A hands-on de-escalation training (ages 13+)

• Free 3-day emergency preparedness survival kits

Participants must be able to engage in light movement without physical assistance.
