LIGHT Institute Believes in Potential

“The LIGHT Institute helped me slow down and truly see the leader I’ve been growing into through my work in Southwest Georgia. It gave me language for my strengths, space to reflect on my purpose, and confidence in the impact I’m capable of making. I walked away with a deeper understanding of how my lived experiences shape my leadership. Most importantly, I gained a renewed sense of clarity and direction for the work I want to continue in my community.

I plan to apply the tools and frameworks from the LIGHT Institute directly to my community outreach and advocacy work. The program taught me how to lead with intention, communicate with authenticity, and build relationships that create real change. I’m already using what I learned to strengthen my work across Southwest Georgia. The lessons on purpose, presence, and storytelling will stay with me as I continue serving my community.

What I loved most about the LIGHT Institute was the way it created a space where I felt seen, supported, and understood. Being surrounded by people who believed in my potential before I fully believed in it myself was powerful. The conversations, the vulnerability, and the sense of community reminded me why I do the work I do. It was a rare experience that poured into me in all the right ways and left me feeling grounded and inspired.”
