LIGHT Institute Phase Two Wraps Up with Lessons on Collaboration, Legislative Advocacy, and Emergency Preparedness

Photos by Jim Teed

Phase Two of the LIGHT Institute is complete! In this session, participants learned about their different working styles and how to utilize this information to their advantage when it comes to working with others in the organizing field. Thanks to Rosemary Robinson for helping facilitate!

We also had Adam Keller with Alabama Arise teach folks legislative advocacy, how systems work, and how we can make an impact. Carol La-Torre Elliot and Cap Tomas Quinn joined us for Day 2, where they taught emergency preparedness and what to do when government systems fail, and how to disengage and de-escalate conflict.

If you want to join in and become an empowered community leader, please click HERE to apply for our second cohort that begins in September!
